The truck carries the machine, the gas, the steel and the tools — so the work happens where the metal already is: your pens, your pad, your driveway, your dock.

Luke Mixon started out welding pipeline, refineries and plant shutdowns — the kind of work where every joint gets x-rayed and a bad tie-in sends you home. He brought that standard back to the Hill Country and built Mixon Construction around it.
Today the company handles ranch entrances and gates, pipe fence, cattle shelters, steel stairs, metal buildings, trailer and equipment repair, and custom fabrication for private clients. The welding rig is a fully built-out truck bed Luke fabricated himself, so most jobs get done where the metal already is.
Mixon Construction is set up to grow past welding — coordinating steel, concrete, framing and trades as a general contractor on larger commercial and government projects — while keeping the welding and fabrication in-house where it belongs.
The Texas flag in the logo is real: a weathered flag Luke pulled out of a tree along the river during the search last year from the floods in Comfort.
